N/A Reports to: Shop Supervisor / Hub Operations Manager Position Overview The Bike Shop Technician reports directly to the Shop Supervisor, and works within Google's onsite employee-facing full service bike shops. You are primarily responsible for daily shop operations, including but not limited to the repair and maintenance of both personal bikes used to commute to/from Google campus and shared bikes used to get around campus. Additionally, technicians are expected to support various micromobility partner programs on a growing campus.

Provide an exceptional experience to Google employees looking to utilize our services Maintain a bike fleet at Google that is reliable, safe and fun to ride Ensure Google employees have what they need to enjoy their commute by bike Foster a community at Google that is engaged with cycling and other alternative transportation methods Uphold an atmosphere within our program that attracts new adopters, and retains prior users
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair bicycles Maintain and repair Google's fleet bikes, which include geared commuter bikes, e-bikes, and bike share Provide repair and maintenance services to Google employees looking to commute to and from work on a bicycle Peer review the repairs completed by other team members Maintain a clean and safe working environment Ensure all work areas are kept clean, including the shop, vehicles, desks, and warehouse space Must keep tools organized and stowed away before the end of every shift Maintain a work log and track assignments You will be required to accurately track all work completed within various programs such as Lightspeed and Salesforce Follow up with clients via communication platforms such as email Assist customers with questions You must hold an updated knowledge of Google's Bike Programs to assist customers with accurate information about the programs and events we host You must maintain an evolving knowledge base of the industry's bicycles and bicycle products Work well under pressure You will be expected to perform your duties in a timely professional manner as assigned by your manager/supervisor Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Abilities & Skills:
Must have strong communications skills, including written communications Must have good hospitality skills and be able to handle the public in a courteous and professional manner Must be able to work well independently and as a team Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must be comfortable driving a large work van 5+ years of bike mechanic experience

$26.00
