Responsibilities Perform comprehensive repairs and maintenance on bicycles, including brake adjustments, gear tuning, wheel truing, and suspension servicing. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to assemble bikes or replace components. Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire replacements, chain adjustments, and drivetrain tuning to optimize bike performance. Diagnose mechanical issues accurately by inspecting bikes thoroughly and recommending appropriate solutions to customers. Assist customers with retail sales by providing expert advice on bike selection, accessories, and maintenance products while delivering exceptional customer service. Manage heavy lifting of bikes and parts safely to ensure efficient workflow and safety standards are maintained. Keep work areas organized, clean, and stocked with necessary tools and parts to ensure smooth daily operations. Skills Proven service technician experience with bicycles or similar mechanical systems. Strong mechanical knowledge of bike components including suspension systems, brakes, gears, and drivetrains. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized cycling equipment for repairs and assembly. Experience with vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake repair, wheel truing, and suspension servicing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences. Retail sales experience combined with retail math skills to handle transactions accurately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or assembly tasks.
