• San Francisco (Union Street) We are launching a unique, high-end dog experience in San Francisco—electric bikes with custom dog sidecars—and we're hiring immediately. This is an active, hands-on role working with dogs, customers, and premium equipment in a fast-paced outdoor environment. We are hiring for two types of roles: Lead Operator (Mechanical Focus) Operator (Customer Experience Focus)
• What You'll Do Set up and prepare bikes and sidecars for each ride Move bikes and equipment in and out of storage (includes lifting and maneuvering) Assist customers and their dogs with fitting, safety, and instructions Launch and receive rides throughout the day Occasionally guide small group rides or experiences Keep the space organized and running efficiently
• Mechanical Responsibilities (Lead Role) For at least one hire, we are looking for someone comfortable with hands-on mechanical work, including: Changing tires and tubes Adjusting and replacing brakes Basic troubleshooting of e-bike systems (motors, controllers, wiring) Performing routine maintenance and safety checks You do NOT need to be a master mechanic—we will provide support—but you should be:•confident using tools•comfortable diagnosing basic issues•able to keep bikes operational day-to-day•What We're Looking For Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes Friendly, outgoing, and great with customers Physically capable (lifting ~50 lbs, moving equipment, being on your feet) Reliable and able to work independently Positive attitude and team player•Bonus Experience Bike or e-bike maintenance Mechanical or hands-on technical background Experience working with dogs or animals Tour guide, outdoor, or hospitality experience•Pay $22•30/hour depending on role and experience Higher end for mechanical lead per-ride incentives / bonuses Flexible schedule (full-time and part-time available)•Location Union Street, San Francisco (Outdoor / active role)•About Us Mad Dogs & Englishmen is a nationally recognized brand known for our dog sidecar experiences.
