Job Description

Bicycle Technician Bike technician/mechanic Summer is here, and we need help assembling bikes, performing on-demand repairs, and spreading the enthusiasm for cycling in Iola! Training is available, but experience working in bicycle retail is highly preferred, and enthusiasm for cycling is a must. Beginner and experienced techs welcome, customer service skills a must. Part time scheduling during sales hours (11-6 Tues-Fri, 11-5 Saturday). This is a seasonal position; our busiest months are March-September, and hours will change as our season winds down in October.
Duties:
On-demand repairs during open hours: tire/tube replacements, light adjustments, etc.
Tuneups and assemblies:
bearing adjustment, brakes/derailleurs, wheel truing Assist customers in bike sales, accessories and other items This position will involve regular lifting of 50+ pounds, standing, demonstrating bicycles, and other physically demanding tasks
Qualifications:
Bicycle maintenance/assembly definitely preferred, but not necessary Retail experience highly preferred Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual Passion for customer service and bikes is a MUST Send job history, brief statement and three work-related references to: southwindcycle at gmail dot com or apply through Indeed.
