We are a busy, hands-on shop focused on repairing, refurbishing, and selling mostly used bikes. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working in a small business environment where everyone helps keep the shop running smoothly. This is a good fit for someone who has real bike shop experience, takes pride in quality mechanical work, and enjoys working with a wide variety of bikes and customers. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and service customer bikes. Perform tune-ups, safety checks, adjustments, and general repairs. Inspect, repair, clean, and refurbish used bikes for resale. Help assess used bikes and determine what repairs or parts are needed. Communicate clearly with customers about repairs, recommendations, timelines, and estimates. Use our repair software to create, update, and close repair tickets. Use the POS system. Keep the repair area clean, organized, and safe. Help maintain parts organization and communicate when common parts are running low. Support the sales floor when needed. Requirements Previous bicycle mechanic experience is required. Previous bike shop experience is required. Basic computer skills required, including the ability to use repair software and a POS system. Strong working knowledge of common bicycle repairs and adjustments. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Comfortable working on a wide range of used bikes. Good communication and customer service skills. Reliable, organized, and able to manage repair priorities in a busy shop. Ability to work well as part of a small team. The right person should be comfortable helping with repairs, used bike refurbishment, customer communication, shop organization, and the day-to-day flow of the shop. Our shop can be demanding and busy, but the environment is friendly and team-oriented. We care about doing good work, treating customers well, and keeping used bikes on the road. Interview Process The interview process will start with a brief conversation. Qualified candidates will then be invited to the shop for a short, hands-on skills task related to the role.
