In this energetic role, you'll be the go-to professional for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring every bike leaves our shop in top condition. Whether you're an experienced mechanic or a cycling enthusiast eager to hone your skills, this position offers the opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment dedicated to quality and excellence. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive bike repairs, including brake adjustments, gear tuning, suspension servicing, and wheel truing to ensure optimal performance. Conduct routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and component replacements to extend bike lifespan. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for assembly, disassembly, and repairs of various bicycle components. Diagnose mechanical issues accurately by inspecting frames, drivetrains, brakes, suspension systems, and other parts. Assist customers with bike assembly, fitting advice, and basic troubleshooting to enhance their riding experience. Maintain a clean and organized work area while managing multiple repair orders with precision. Support retail sales by providing knowledgeable recommendations on bike accessories, parts, and maintenance products. Skills Proven service technician experience with bicycles or similar vehicles. Strong mechanical knowledge of bike systems including suspension, brakes, gears, and drivetrains. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in bike assembly and repairs. Experience in vehicle or bicycle maintenance with an understanding of mechanical principles. Ability to lift heavy bikes or parts safely during repairs or assembly tasks. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Retail sales experience combined with retail math skills to assist customers effectively while managing transactions. Passion for cycling with a keen interest in staying current on industry trends and new technologies.
