Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Bicycle Mechanic/Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional cycling experiences! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and assembling bicycles with precision and enthusiasm. Your expertise will ensure every bike is safe, reliable, and ready to hit the road or trail. Whether you're fine-tuning suspension systems or performing brake repairs, your skills will keep our customers pedaling happily forward. Duties Perform comprehensive bicycle repairs including brake adjustments, gear tuning, wheel truing, and suspension servicing to ensure optimal performance. Assemble new bikes accurately and efficiently, following manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Use hand tools and power tools skillfully to disassemble, repair, and reassemble bicycle components. Conduct routine maintenance such as tire replacements, chain cleaning, lubrication, and component inspections. Assist customers with bike repairs, provide expert advice on maintenance needs, and promote related retail sales. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting and tool operation. Keep detailed records of repairs performed and parts used to support inventory management and customer service. Skills Proven service technician experience with bicycles. 3+ years of experience required. Strong mechanical knowledge of bicycle components including brakes, gears, suspension systems, and wheel assembly. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized cycling maintenance equipment. Experience in vehicle or equipment maintenance with an understanding of mechanical troubleshooting. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Retail sales experience combined with retail math skills for upselling accessories or maintenance packages. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during assembly or repair tasks.
