Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Bicycle Sales and Service Associate, where your passion for cycling and mechanical expertise will drive customer satisfaction and bike performance. In this energetic role, you will assist customers in selecting the perfect bicycle, provide expert maintenance and repairs, and ensure every bike leaves our shop in top condition. Your enthusiasm for cycling combined with your technical skills will help us deliver exceptional service while fostering a fun and engaging environment for both customers and team members. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, understand their cycling needs, and recommend suitable bicycles and accessories. Perform comprehensive bicycle assembly, including frame setup, component installation, and safety checks. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs such as brake adjustments, suspension tuning, wheel truing, and drivetrain servicing. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently. Assist with inventory management by stocking parts, organizing tools, and maintaining a clean work area. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures, offering cycling advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Support retail sales efforts by promoting products, processing transactions accurately, and applying retail math skills. Requirements Proven experience as a bicycle service technician or mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with suspension systems, brake repair, assembly processes, and vehicle maintenance. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized cycling equipment safely and effectively. Prior retail sales experience combined with excellent customer service skills. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions. Knowledge of cycling products, industry standards, and basic retail math principles. Strong communication skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques or technologies related to bike maintenance.
