Full Job Description Job Summary Wanted:

skilled mechanic with a great attitude! You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on our customers' favorite bikes. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience as a retail bike shop mechanic, but if you have a great story and talent set that will benefit our business and customers let's talk! We are seeking someone who wants to provide amazing customer experiences and thorough technical work on our customers' bikes. Responsibilities Completing on-the-spot repairs and tune-up packages with rigorous attention to detail Staying current on the latest drivetrain, suspension, and electric motor technology to provide the best service and hospitality to Phat Tire guests Working in collaboration with the rest of the service department to ensure that we stay in-process with our tasks, commitments, and communication Being an active part of continual improvement in day-to-day effectiveness and efficiency Producing labor at industry-leading levels to maximize store profitability and personal bonus incentives Being an active participant in the vibrant cycling culture of Oklahoma City Qualifications Expert knowledge of all mechanical aspects of a bicycle Experience diagnosing mechanical issues with bicycles and providing a vision to the guest of what their riding experience could be Experience with suspension service a plus Proficiency with bicycle-specific tools, torque specs, and best practices Excellent problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills to interact with customers Familiarity with bike shop brand e-bike drive systems
