Job Description & Requirements Bicycle Technician — Part-Time Alpha Bicycle Studio | Littleton, CO Alpha Bicycle Studio is a premium build-to-suit cycling studio on the south side of Denver. We don't sell bikes off a floor. We build them to suit. Every bike starts with a professional fit and becomes a collaborative build between the rider, our fitting team, and our technicians. We work with brands like ENVE, Sarto, Mosaic, Allied, and Ritte to deliver bikes that are tailor-fit and master-built. We're appointment-only during the week and open to the public on Saturdays. The atmosphere is focused, unhurried, and detail-oriented. If you've worked in a high-volume shop and wished you had more time to do things right, this is that place.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a part-time bicycle technician to join a small team doing high-quality work on premium bikes. This isn't an assembly-line position. You'll work alongside our lead mechanic on custom builds, component installations, and service work for clients who expect precision and care. The right person brings solid mechanical fundamentals and wants to grow. Our lead mechanic has deep experience with high-end road, gravel, and custom builds, and this role is designed to learn from him directly. You'll start with service work, tune-ups, and component swaps, and progress into full custom builds as your skills develop. Saturdays you'll be the face of the studio during open hours — greeting riders, managing walk-in service, and creating the kind of experience that makes people want to come back. During the week, it's heads-down build and service work by appointment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Handle routine service, tune-ups, and repairs with attention to detail and consistent quality. Support custom bike builds under the direction of our lead mechanic — component installation, cable routing, wheel truing, drivetrain setup. Manage Saturday open studio hours: greet visitors, take in service work, answer questions, and represent Alpha's standard of care. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and keep tools and parts inventory in order. Communicate clearly with clients about service timelines, build progress, and recommendations. Learn. Ask questions. Get better. This is a role that grows with you.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Mechanical competence. You can index a derailleur, bleed hydraulic brakes, true a wheel, and diagnose common drivetrain issues. Whether you learned in a shop, a co-op, or your own garage — we care about skill, not credentials. Attention to detail. We build bikes for people who notice when something isn't right. You should too. Reliability. Show up on time. Follow through. Do what you say you'll do. Client presence. You're comfortable talking with riders, explaining what you're doing, and making people feel welcome — especially on Saturdays. Curiosity. You want to learn how to build at a higher level. You're not just looking for hours — you're looking for growth.
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
Part-time:
15-20 hours per week. Saturdays required (open studio hours). Weekday hours flexible and scheduled around build and service appointments. Industry pricing on parts and gear. Hourly rate commensurate with experience
WHY ALPHA
This isn't a shop floor job. It's a chance to work in a studio environment alongside experienced builders on premium bikes most mechanics only read about. You'll learn from a lead mechanic who's built hundreds of high-end custom bikes. You'll work with ENVE, Sarto, Allied, Mosaic, and Ritte frames. And you'll be part of a small team that takes pride in doing things right.
HOW TO APPLY
Send a short note about yourself and your experience to helloalphabicycle. Tell us what you've worked on, what you want to learn, and why a studio like Alpha appeals to you. A resume is fine but not required — we'd rather hear your story. If you have photos of builds you're proud of, send those too. Alpha Bicycle Studio is a place where the work matters and the details count. If that sounds like the kind of shop you've been looking for, we'd like to hear from you. About Alpha Bicycle Studio Alpha Bicycle Studio is a premium build-to-suit cycling studio in Littleton, CO. Every bike starts with a professional fit and is built to order using carefully curated frame partners including ENVE, Sarto, Mosaic, Allied, and Ritte.
