To build, repair, and maintain Bike Park trails utilizing heavy equipment including but not limited to excavators, skid steers, dozers, etc. in accordance with the goals and objectives set forth by the trail crew foreman.
Job Responsibilities:
Builds and maintains trails to professional standards, ensuring stability, sustainability, and proper ratings. Constructs go-arounds on blue, black, and double black diamond trails for riders needing alternative paths. Manages water drainage to reduce erosion and enhance sustainability. Finishes trail work by clearing debris, seeding disturbed areas, and maintaining features. Performs manual labor and operates heavy equipment, ensuring safety and conducting regular inspections. Monitors bike park for hazards and coordinates with the team on trail closures, repairs, and signage. Ensures new trails and features are signed off by the bike park and patrol managers before opening. Maintains safety discussions, supports races and events, and assists with other bike park operations as needed.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Driving:
Have a valid Driver's license and ability to pass the
Snowshoe Driving Program Preferred Experience:
Must be an Downhill Mountain Biker and have the ability to ride all levels of trails in the Bike Park- minimum required Well versed in all aspects of cross-country biking to meet demands of growing sport. 2 years previous trail building and maintenance experience, preferably in a bike park environment. 2 years previous heavy equipment, chainsaws and power tools experience. Basic computer skills. Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience operating a variety of heavy equipment in a trail building capacity All Information above is subject to change at any time.
