Job Description

At University Station RV Resort, we are a full service, year-round RV park. During fall football season we offer the Ultimate Tailgating Experience to Auburn football fans by extending exceptional hospitality to create unforgettable experiences for every guest. Guests can participate in family-friendly activities, live entertainment, bonfires, food trucks, shuttle bus service, golf cart rentals plus so much more. As our Resort Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician , you will perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of our resort while providing excellent customer service to our guests. This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Complete minor repairs to rental cottages, campsites and facilities as needed Complete routine maintenance and minor emergency electrical repairs, plumbing, sewage, construction, and street repair Ensure the resort is presentable and inviting at all times Daily lawncare, landscaping, weed eating, etc. Regularly treat for weeds, weed whips, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spreads mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut down and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care services as necessary Ensure trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas and streets on a daily basis Empty common area trash containers as needed Maintain vacant sites, including removal of trash and debris Complete checklists of the physical condition of resort sites prior to and after guest occupancy Report all maintenance issues and concerns that may be identified while performing daily duties to the manager Ensure all resort streets and public access routes are free of hazards Help maintain resort vehicles and equipment Follow safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles when moving from site to site and picking up supplies Assist with guest arrival during work hours and after hours as needed On call after hours as needed for maintenance emergencies
FALL FOOTBALL SEASON
- Additional duties will be required to ensure park events are set up and run properly. Additional after hours and weekend hours will be required on gameday weekends.
Job Qualifications:
Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to provide legible written reports Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work Ability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call 6 months previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resort is preferred The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week will vary during fall football season. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
