Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Garage Door Technician to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of garage doors and related systems. Your expertise will ensure our customers experience safe, reliable, and high-quality service. Duties Install, adjust, and repair garage doors, openers, springs, cables, rollers, and tracks with precision and attention to safety standards Perform glass installation for door panels or windows as needed, ensuring proper fit and durability Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to complete various installation and repair tasks Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects according to specifications Conduct door hanging, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and fixture or cabinet installation on-site Execute electrical work related to garage door openers or safety sensors with proper wiring techniques Perform heavy lifting of doors or components safely while adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate equipment Apply caulking and sealants for weatherproofing and finishing touches on installations or repairs Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematic diagrams and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes quickly Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions Qualifications Proven experience in construction-related roles such as remodeling, carpentry, metal framing or handyman work with a focus on garage doors or similar systems Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of schematics, blueprint reading, fabrication techniques, and electrical wiring Skilled in glass installation, welding, caulking, fixture installation, lock smithing or related trades is highly desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and construction site safety practices Experience working on construction sites or performing remodeling projects is preferred Knowledge of electrical systems related to garage door openers or sensors is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately Join us in delivering top-tier garage door solutions!
