Chart Industries Ensuring Chart's Success… What Will You Do? Under minimal direction, provides expert level repair and maintenance of production related equipment within the manufacturing facility. Troubleshoots and repairs complex equipment issues including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical, plumbing, engines, motors, cranes and other production related equipment Documents and completes records of repair, work orders, etc. in an accurate and timely manner Uses hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain Ensures proper ordering of parts, supplies and equipment necessary to complete jobs effectively Maintains a clean work area and maintains general housekeeping standards, such as proper care for assigned tools Understands and practices established safety and quality standard procedures Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements Assists with cross training peers Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, twist and even crawl. The employee regularly lifts and carries 50 pounds and will frequently push, pull and handle materials.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to any of the following: metal cuttings, welding odors, extreme temperatures, flying debris, exposure to chemical cleaning solutions and odors, wet and dirty cleanups as well as drainage issues. Your Experience Should Be… Required Minimum two years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment Proven extensive knowledge of industrial powered equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes and hoists Advanced electric, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC troubleshooting skills Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills Experience interpreting blueprints, sketches Basic math and computer skills Self - starter capable of effectively managing multiple concurrent projects Overtime, weekend hours and split shifts, as needed Preferred High school diploma or GED Certification from trade school or technical program Leadership skills Basic wiring skills a plus Electrical motor control experience, desired Effective communication skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office a plus Our Benefits Package… Chart Industries is an equal employment opportunity (EEO) employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicants because of his or her race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, military status, marital status, genetic information or any other reason prohibited by law.
