Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Residential Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of residential properties. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of maintenance projects, from electrical repairs to painting, while providing exceptional service to residents. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining the overall condition of residential facilities, contributing to a comfortable and well-maintained living environment for our residents. Responsibilities Perform routine and preventative maintenance on residential buildings, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Conduct repairs using skills in welding, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical knowledge to resolve issues efficiently. Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately and execute repairs following safety standards. Manage facilities maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work to uphold property standards. Operate tools and equipment including ohmmeters, RealPage (Facilities Maintenance Management System), and other diagnostic devices to monitor system performance. Supervise maintenance projects when required, ensuring timely completion while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with residents about maintenance schedules and resolving concerns promptly. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in residential painting, welding, and electrical systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation devices is a plus. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing equipment accurately. Facilities maintenance background with expertise in RealPage software for work order management. Supervising experience in maintenance or facilities management roles is desirable. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and resident interactions. Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee projects and guide team members effectively.
