Job Description

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks. The Role As a Maintenance Technician, you will support day-to-day property operations by responding to work orders, coordinating service with residents, and resolving maintenance issues efficiently and professionally. While this is a maintenance role, there is a strong emphasis on painting, drywall/sheetrock repair, and make-ready work, particularly during unit turns and renovation projects. In this role, you will work closely with property managers and, when applicable, owners to communicate scope, estimated costs, timelines, and approvals before work begins. Success in this position comes from being both hands-on and highly communicative—able to quickly diagnose issues, execute quality repairs, and keep all stakeholders informed. You will also help plan and carry out renovation projects of varying sizes while managing job timing and priorities across multiple work orders. Key Responsibilities Respond to and complete maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner Perform interior/exterior painting, drywall/sheetrock repairs, and make-ready work, including patching, sanding, texturing, and finish work Communicate with residents to coordinate access and ensure a positive service experience Provide estimates for time, materials, and scope of repairs, and confirm approvals with property managers and/or owners Perform routine and preventive maintenance across managed properties Maintain materials, tools, and supply inventory Coordinate with and oversee outside contractors when needed Qualifications Prior experience in residential or multifamily maintenance, with hands-on painting and drywall experience Familiarity with common maintenance tools and equipment Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance Ability to use a smartphone for work orders and documentation Physically able to perform the duties of the role Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple tasks Personal toolset suitable for most standard home repairs Your characteristics: Effective and efficient communicator Highly organized and detail-oriented Constantly looking for ways to improve Does the job right the first time HVAC and/or plumbing experience (not required) Capable of using email and web-based communication systems Independent and self-driven individual
