Key duties include preventative maintenance, basic electrical/plumbing repairs, painting, cleaning, and operating tools safely. They must follow safety protocols, document repairs, and often handle moving furniture or groundskeeping.
Key Responsibilities and Duties Routine Maintenance:
Conducting regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify issues.
Repairs:
Fixing plumbing leaks, electrical issues, broken tools, and minor structural damage (walls, doors, roofs).
Preventative Care:
Performing tasks like changing air filters, lubricating equipment, and cleaning.
Groundskeeping:
Maintaining exterior areas, including mowing, trash removal, and snow removal.
Safety Compliance:
Ensuring all systems comply with building codes and safety regulations.
Documentation:
Keeping maintenance logs and writing reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Proficiency:
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Tool Handling:
Experience using hand tools (wrenches, saws) and power tools (drills, saws).
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift heavy items, move furniture, and work in varied weather conditions.
Problem-Solving:
Strong troubleshooting skills to address repair needs.
Communication:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and report to supervisors.
