INSTALLER 1 DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Basic understanding of installation & maintenance of operable & accordion partitions, overhead rolling doors, grilles, shutters, overhead sectional doors smoke & fire rated curtains, rolling doors, and loading dock equipment.
• Basic understanding of construction process, plan layouts, and specifications.
• Experience in using a variety of construction tools and equipment.
• Must be able to always follow instructions from co-workers.
• Conduct on-site assessments to identify potential challenges and provide recommendations to overcome installation obstacles.
• Troubleshoot and address any issues that arise during the installation process, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation and alignment.
• Test doors and operable walls to ensure they meet performance and safety standards, making necessary adjustments as needed.
• Provide satisfactory customer service by addressing client questions, concerns, and requests during installations.
• Complete installation-related documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and service records.
• Adhere to company safety protocols and practices to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid DL and 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in door installation or a related field is a plus.
• Experience in installing overhead doors, operable walls and loading dock equipment.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools to complete installation tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges during installations.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements, alignment, and functionality of installed doors and walls.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients, project managers, and team members effectively.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on the scope of the installation
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
