The Hospital General Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining and repairing the hospital's facilities and equipment. Duties include performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and fixing mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations, and responding promptly to maintenance requests. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure a safe and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

General Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. This is a safety sensitive position. •Minimum requirements:

Minimum of 3 years experience in building maintenance and repairsAbility to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly and efficientlyKnowledge of safety protocols and regulationsAbility to work independently and within a teamGood communication, customer service, and documentation skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple task efficiently.

Preferred requirements:

General experience with basic carpentry, electricity, and HVAC equipment preferredPrior experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare settingUnderstanding of healthcare regulations and standards, such as OSHA, Joint Commission, and other relevant bodiesKnowledge and practice of safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
