Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Property turnover/make-ready
- General handyman/maintenance experience: basic plumbing, basic electric, light carpentry, painting, & patching drywall Exterior preventative maintenance
- Complete turnovers and work-orders in an effective and timely manner
- Work under direction of Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
- Porter/Grounds keeping work during downtime or as needed.
- Inspect and diagnose problems and determine best course of action for making necessary repairs and staying within budget
- Work efficiently and effectively individualy and communicate effectively with account mangers and dispatchers
- Provide feedback to management about any issues that arise on the job site
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and document maintenance activities
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Proficient in English, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 1 year experience as an Apartment Maintenance/Service Tech strongly desired; hotel engineer, commercial and retail maintenance welcomed to apply! Experience with residential plumbing, electrical, hardware installation, painting, troubleshooting & repairs, and other general maintenance. Basic tools required. (All material will be provided. Advanced or specialized equipment provided.) Not required but a plus: Experience in HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair & troubleshooting Previous experience as a handyman / general maintenance Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA) Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry Must be qualified to perform at heights above thirty (30) feet with the use of a ladder, lift, or bucket truck boom Ability to lift 40+ lbs on a consistent basis We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career growth.
