You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, pvc repairs, landscaping, welding etc. A Maintenance Technician is a customer service professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work with the other water master. The goal is to maintain the pipelines and well sites and common areas in the best possible condition. After 90 day probation full benefits including medical, Vacation and sick pay with bonuses, company truck is provided so must have a good driving record, pass drug test. Must live within 10 miles of Gilbert. Responsibilities Turning wells on/off per schedule and monitoring water during the time that the well is running Replacing irrigation ports during run without shutting well off Some repairs will require the use of our backhoe or trackhoe pvc repairs on our 15" pipe lifting cutting and gluing pipe together Cutting steel and welding parts that we use in the district Weed control with our trailer weed sprayer and backpack sprayer Able to work ever other weekend including saturday night on call Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) Assist in irrigation schedule that is sent to customers Skills Proven experience as maintenance technician Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other systems Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime High school diploma or equivalent
