Summary:
Origin Mining Company operates the Mineral Park copper-molybdenum mine in Arizona and is focused on responsible, sustainable resource development. We aim to lead the U.S. copper industry through strong safety practices, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. With a hands-on, technically driven approach, we are advancing both leach and concentrator operations to produce high-quality copper and molybdenum products.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Foreman to lead building and site infrastructure maintenance at a mining operation. This role is responsible for supervising and working alongside a team of technicians performing a wide range of facilities-related work, including plumbing, electrical, general construction, and structural repairs.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of Facilities Maintenance Technicians Perform hands-on maintenance and repair work across site buildings and infrastructure Assign tasks based on technician skillsets to ensure efficient and high-quality execution Oversee and participate in work involving: Plumbing systems Electrical repairs and installations General carpentry and contractor-type work Concrete work (including pouring and finishing) Welding and structural repairs Assess scope of work and determine when external contractors are required Coordinate and supervise contractors when engaged on-site Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site standards Maintain a high standard of workmanship across all facilities maintenance activities
Qualifications:
5-10 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or industrial environments Prior supervisory or foreman-level experience leading trades or maintenance teams Strong hands-on experience across multiple disciplines: Plumbing Electrical General construction / contracting Welding Proven ability to lead from the front and work alongside crews Demonstrated ability to assess jobs, prioritize work, and allocate resources effectively Experience determining when to outsource work and managing contractors
Physical Demands:
To be eligible for this position, an individual must possess the following requirements to perform the essential job functions: Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking on uneven surfaces, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather. Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating information. Able to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms. Able to lift up to 25 pounds periodically. mNSWt76l6N
