Job Description

ICON STEEL
is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain our shop equipment, vehicles, tools, and facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and helping support general shop operations when maintenance work is caught up.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment and vehicles Troubleshoot and repair welders, plasma equipment, forklifts, trailers, saws, and fabrication equipment Assist with facility repairs and general maintenance Help with painting, deliveries, material handling, and shop support when maintenance work is caught up Track maintenance schedules and equipment needs Coordinate repairs with outside vendors when necessary Maintain organized maintenance records Respond to equipment breakdowns and operational issues
Qualifications:
Mechanical experience required Must be willing to help with general shop duties when maintenance work is caught up Experience working on construction or fabrication equipment preferred Basic electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting experience preferred Welding and fabrication experience is a plus CDL is a plus, but not required Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license required
Compensation:
$18 - $32 per hour, depending on experience. Higher compensation may be available for candidates with significant experience maintaining construction equipment, fabrication machinery, and fleet vehicles.
