As a Maintenance Technician , you will be part of a hard-working maintenance team and will actively participate in the maintenance of the physical condition of the interior and exterior of the community while promoting resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Leadership :
You will be an important part of a high-performing team and work closely with your Maintenance Supervisor and Regional Maintenance Director.
Quality Control :
You will provide feedback to the team and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to help with work orders and projects, unit turns and preventative maintenance.
Self-Starter:
You are someone who gets the job done, and done right with little supervision, but will ask for assistance when needed.
Service Oriented:
Are you someone who prides themselves on creating happy residents? The residents are our customers, and we are here to make sure they have a wonderful experience living on one of our properties. You know the importance of how imperative it is to act quickly in regard to work orders and make sure the residents are living in a safe and comfortable environment.
What Your Day Consists Of:
Complete make-ready apartments for move in and walk each "ready" units to ensure it is ready for occupancy Complete service requests in a timely manner prioritizing by date of request and urgency in nature. Perform common area maintenance and ensure lighting is working and other safety items are complete. Follow Preventative Maintenance Program on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis Participate in resident satisfaction programs Communicate with residents, vendors, leadership, Ensure all team members are apprised of any new safety issues
What You Bring To Us:
High school diploma or GED (required) EPA, state, HVAC and local certifications (preferred) Pool and other state and local certifications (preferred) Minimum 1-2+ years previous full-time work experience in apartment maintenance, or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC (required) Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance (required) Own a basic set of hand tools (required) Able to read service requests, schedules, and regularly converse with team members, residents, and vendors Basic computer skills Able to adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships Able to maintain a professional and ethical atmosphere Able to perform work responsibilities at locations other than "home" property Able to travel within major metropolitan areas and may be required to attend company functions Able to respond to emergency calls outside of normal business hours
