We are seeking a dedicated, hands-on Church Maintenance Worker, part-time, and must include Sundays (8-1), plus 3-4 week days , to ensure our campus is safe, clean, and functional. The property maintenance worker is responsible for the overall upkeep and repair of the church buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role involves routine inspections, general repairs, and collaborating with staff and volunteers to prepare the campus for Sunday services, weddings, and weekday community events. The property maintenance worker will work with the leadership team liaison. Responsibilities 1. Routine Maintenance & Repairs Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting/repairs. 2. Campus Upkeep Ensure parking lots and walkways are free of debris, trash, and hazards. 3. Event Setup & Support Coordinate with ministry leaders to arrange tables, chairs, and AV equipment for various church events and weekly services. Vacuum, clean and empty trash as needed . Ensure facilities are unlocked, prepared, and secured according to the church schedule. 4. Safety & Vendor Coordination Conduct routine safety checks and maintain a clean, organized workspace and storage area. Assist in meeting with and supervising external contractors and vendors for major repair projects, with Junior Warden as needed. Replace lighting fixtures, ballasts, and emergency exit lights. Inspect and maintain the physical condition of the building interior and exterior, completing minor repairs promptly.

Skills Experience:

Hands-on experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or a related trade preferred.

Licensing:

Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a background check.

Technical Skills:

Basic, working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Physical Ability:

Must be able to perform physical labor, lift up to 50 lbs, and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Character:

Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. A supportive attitude toward the church's mission and community is highly valued.
