Salary dependent on professional and teaching experience $36.43 to $63.14 /hr.

• plus 25% preparation time (minimum hourly rate)

FALL

• Tuesday & Thursday (4:00 pm to 8:00 pm) Friday (Asynchronous) SPRING
• Monday-Thursday (4:00 pm to 8:00 pm) o Internships for Students Who Are 18 Years Old o Internships Are Scheduled for Mondays & Wednesdays o Visit Internship Sites on Mondays & Wednesdays
• Tuesday Class with Students Not at Internships
• Control Day is on Thursdays (All Students Meet)

LOCATION

Creekside High School, Irvine, CA _______________________________________________________________________________________________

THE POSITION

Under the supervision of the Administrator of Educational Services, instruct high school students in the basic skills necessary for employment as a Pharmacy Technician and to meet eligibility requirements to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License through the California State Board of Pharmacy if the student is age 18. Topics include medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, pharmacy laws & regulations, drug requirements, and dispensing prescriptions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Instruct High School students in a classroom/online setting.
• Maintain timely & accurate student records including grades, progress reports, and attendance.
• Assist in curriculum development and/or revision.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with the approved course outline.
• Develop sites for student internship training opportunities if required.
• Supervise students at the internship site if required.
• Participate in annual advisory committee meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
• Five years of recent work experience in the pharmaceutical field.
• Possess or be eligible to apply for a Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
