Job Description
Job Title Maintenance Technician Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment used in a feed mill facility. This position ensures production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime while maintaining compliance with company safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on feed mill equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and conveyor systems.
- Maintain and repair bucket elevators, drag conveyors, screw augers, mixers.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Lubricate bearings, chains, gearboxes, and rotating equipment according to maintenance schedules.
- Inspect motors, pumps, gear reducers, compressors, and other plant equipment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, LOTO, confined space, hot work, and food/feed safety regulations.
- Assist production during equipment startups and shutdowns.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Participate in emergency repairs and overtime/on-call work as required. Job Skills
