GED Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and cleaning of gaming devices and related equipment such as printers and bill validators. Maintains technical knowledge of all slot products, platforms, technologies, and procedures, and applies that knowledge to the ongoing slot maintenance program set forth by management. As a member of the Slot Technician Team the Preventive Maintenance Technician will maintain current knowledge of manufacturer updates to various electronic devices, new machines, and equipment and procedures necessary to service and repair new and updated machines. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "ELITE" company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times. 2. Be involved in all aspects of preventive maintenance on slot machines and related slot equipment. 3. Ensure proper safety procedures are being followed at all times. 4. Test touch screens and button functions. Calibrate and replace parts as needed. 5. Conduct routine machine maintenance including, but not limited to cleaning inside and outside of machines. 6. Maintain up to date technical knowledge by continually self-educating on technologies and products applicable to the future needs of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school education or equivalent. 2. Possess basic math skills. 3. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, training materials, and other related documents. 4. Ability to respond to inquiries from Team Members and Guests. 5. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form. 6. Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude. 7. Must be at least 21 years of age. 8. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. 2. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 3. Ability to stand for prolonged time periods. 4. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically performed on the casino floor, which may be hot, cold, noisy, and in the presence of secondhand smoke. Tasks may be performed from a non-sitting position. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of an assigned area. Frequent contact with fellow Team Members and Guests is standard.
