• Full-time We are HIRING!!!! The Almond Company is looking for a Swing Shift Production Lead to join our team in Madera, CA. Applicants must be flexible, work overtime, and work weekends. A Production Lead assists and reports to the Production Manager in various functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Installing and assembling new machines and equipment
• Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery
• Diagnosing and repairing machine failures
• Installing replacement parts (which you'll often fabricate yourself using machine shop instruments)
• Using power tools and different hand tools to complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Sizers, Pack line 1 & 2, Sortex line, Compressed air, HVAC, Forklifts, Yard goats and Baghouses
• Maximizing flow of product throughput in plant while maintaining quality by, improving equipment productivity, improving machine uptime, reducing unplanned downtime, maximizing maintenance work efficiency
• Facilities, building upkeep, and managing the landscape Required Skills/Abilities
• Basic mechanical skills, steady hands, and not being afraid to get your hands dirty are staples for every maintenance mechanic.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Understanding of safety policies and procedures.
• Time management skills
• must manage and prioritize several projects and tasks, make and adhere to deadlines and create timelines for work completion.
• Must work with all types of people and departments, from employees to management staff and executives. Physical Requirements
• Employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to sit.
• Must be able to stand for long periods at a time.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
• Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
• Required to work additional or overtime hours, particularly during harvest season.
• Ability to often spend time in awkward positions, picking up heavy tools, and moving large pieces of equipment.
