  • Full-time Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our property management team.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment homes, common areas, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner. Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repairs. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs throughout the property. Prepare vacant units for new residents, including cleaning, painting, and completing necessary repairs. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, water heaters, appliances, and other building systems as needed. Maintain the appearance and safety of common areas, grounds, and amenities. Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in the on-call rotation as required. Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local building codes. Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities. Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary. Assist with seasonal maintenance projects and property improvements.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year of apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred:
HVAC Certification. EPA Universal Certification. Experience in multifamily housing or apartment communities. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions. Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physically demanding tasks. Technical Skills Ability to utilize work order management systems and mobile devices. #TPGYC3 .
