Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing repairs to uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and functionality for our guests and staff. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance will be vital in creating a welcoming environment that exceeds expectations. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and building systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues promptly to minimize downtime. Conduct repairs using welding techniques, electrical experience, and mechanical knowledge, including working with schematics and diagrams. Supervise maintenance projects and coordinate with contractors for specialized work such as residential painting or complex repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and asset histories. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by inspecting facilities regularly and adhering to health and safety standards. Lead facilities maintenance initiatives that enhance operational efficiency while fostering a safe environment for guests and staff. Skills Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and electrical wiring with the ability to interpret technical diagrams. Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems. Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting for minor aesthetic repairs. Excellent supervisory skills with prior supervising or leadership experience in maintenance teams. Familiarity with CMMS software for managing work orders and maintenance schedules. Effective communication skills in English to coordinate tasks clearly with team members and vendors. Ability to perform facilities maintenance across diverse areas including manufacturing or large-scale residential buildings.
