Maintenance Mechanic - A Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This position requires extensive experience with Motor Control Panels, high-speed unit sorters, case sorters, conveyor controls, high-speed scales, and print & apply systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical knowledge, including transformers and motor control panels, as well as the ability to replace and wire 3-phase motors and gearboxes. Experience with ASRS systems, MDR conveyors, powered curve conveyors, air control systems, hydraulics, trash compactors, and corrugated balers is essential. Responsibilities Perform maintenance service and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Troubleshoot and repair photo eyes, encoders, scanners, and dimensioners. Read schematics and blueprints and have thorough knowledge of shop tools. Replace and re-lace conveyor belts of various sizes and lengths. Conduct welding using arc, wire, gas, and soldering techniques. Maintain and troubleshoot VFD controls and conveyor systems. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies. Communicate effectively with upper management and take directives from the Maintenance Manager. Perform housekeeping duties as needed and contribute hands-on work with minimal supervision. Provide own tools and perform any special projects or requests from the supervisor. Essential Skills Experience with MCP (Motor Control Panels) and high-speed unit sorters. Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to read schematics and blueprints. Knowledge of air control systems and hydraulics. Welding skills including arc, wire, gas, and soldering. Additional Skills & Qualifications

CAL OSHA

certification on Reach and/or Order Picker/Walker Rider equipment. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Trade School or equivalent is advantageous. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
