CNC Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Engineering Technician builds healthy communities through play and recreation by safely developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in the manufacturing plant. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Requires skill as an electrical/mechanical maintenance technician with 5 years' experience in addition to 2D and 3D drawing capability. Assists engineers as they create, modify and test products and processes. Perform production support duties that adhere to the production schedule, quality standards, and project specifications. Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements in methods and processes to increase productivity and quality. Implement plans for the maximum utilization of materials, machines, and employees. Review, modify and create blueprints or other drawing documentation to determine appropriate machine settings and design requirements. Perform and ensure proper maintenance of equipment. Tests equipment for functionality and adherence to established tolerances, and adjustments or repairs as needed. Enforce safety and work rules and company housekeeping standards. Ensure compliance with all quality, safety and sanitation regulations. Satisfy the required hours of the department. Key Skills Analytical Decision-Making Communication Learning & Development Planning & Organizing Professionalism & Integrity Financial Management Risk-Taking/Creative Thinking Teamwork & Relationship-Building Results Orientation Education and/or Experience High school / GED or post-secondary technical school certification/AS degree preferred. Requires the ability to operate a computer, a variety of small hand tools and precision measuring devices, and standard office machines. Requires a general knowledge of company products and procedures. Travel Minimal Technical Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customer, and other employees of the organization Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
