Full Job Description Description:
Innovation At Work, Inc. (IAW) is seeking an experienced Commercial Floor Equipment Field Service Technician to provide scheduled preventive maintenance and minor repairs for commercial housekeeping equipment at three customer locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Work Locations Palo Alto Menlo Park Livermore This position supports approximately 329 pieces of commercial floor care equipment and requires travel between the three locations. Need to be experienced conducting equipment operator training or technical instruction. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance according to OEM recommendations Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs Clean, lubricate, adjust, and test equipment Replace normal wear items as needed Complete electronic service reports and maintenance documentation Maintain a professional relationship with onsite personnel Equipment Includes Automatic floor scrubbers Burnishers Buffers Carpet extractors Wet/Dry vacuums Backpack vacuums Central vacuum systems Air movers Other commercial floor care equipment Schedule Approximately 48 hours per month Two scheduled service days per month at each of the three locations Flexible daytime schedule (Monday-Friday) Competitive compensation based on experience.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience repairing and servicing commercial floor care equipment Experience with one or more of the following manufacturers preferred: Advance/Nilfisk Windsor Clarke Tennant Kärcher Minuteman Powr-Flite Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues Experience performing preventive maintenance independently Valid driver's license with reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Strong communication and documentation skills Preferred Experience servicing hospitals, schools, commercial facilities, or government facilities Experience working under preventive maintenance contracts
