Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the overall maintenance, appearance, safety, and functionality of company facilities and grounds. This position combines custodial support with general building maintenance and repair responsibilities to help ensure a clean, organized, safe, and operational environment for staff, students, families, and visitors. Working under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Technician performs routine property inspections, preventative maintenance, facility repairs, grounds upkeep, occasional custodial work, and general handyman tasks throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and capable of independently identifying and resolving maintenance or facility-related issues

Duties Facility Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform routine building maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility
• Repair or replace damaged fixtures, hardware, cabinets, furniture, and building materials as needed
• Mount shelves, equipment, signage, televisions, whiteboards, and other wall fixtures
• Patch, sand, texture, and paint walls as needed
• Perform basic carpentry and handyman work
• Replace air filters and assist with basic HVAC maintenance tasks
• Unclog drains and address minor plumbing issues
• Perform basic electrical repairs and fixture replacements within skill level and safety guidelines
• Install curtains, blinds, and other office or classroom fixtures
• Move furniture, equipment, and materials between rooms or departments as needed
• Assist with facility setup and breakdown for meetings, trainings, or events

Grounds and Property Monitoring:

Conduct routine walks of the property to inspect for maintenance needs, damage, hazards, or unusual activity Monitor gates, fencing, locks, and exterior areas for damage or security concerns Report major repairs or safety concerns to management promptly Pick up trash and debris from parking lots, walkways, entrances, and outdoor areas Ensure dumpsters and disposal areas remain properly closed, organized, and maintained Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance throughout the property

Custodial and Operational Support:

Assist with light custodial duties and cleaning tasks as needed Support organization and cleanliness of maintenance and storage areas Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in organized working condition Monitor maintenance supply inventory and report low stock levels High school diploma or equivalent required Previous maintenance, facilities, custodial, handyman, or building repair experience required Experience using common maintenance tools and equipment required Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and facility repair preferred Operate company vehicles, including box trucks, for transporting furniture, equipment, supplies, and materials between company locations or work sites as needed. Assist with general operational support tasks as assigned Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Previous maintenance, facilities, custodial, handyman, or building repair experience required Experience using common maintenance tools and equipment required Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and facility repair preferred Valid California Driver's License required with a clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles, including box trucks, safely and responsibly.

BACKGROUND CHECK/TESTING/CERTIFICATION

• Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).
• Must pass drug testing.
• Provide a clear TB test
• Valid driver's license required

Pay:

$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
