We are looking for a full-time Window & Door Service Technician to join our team. This is a field-based position that requires daily travel to jobsites, homes, and other service locations. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair window and door products while delivering a high level of customer service. Job Description:
Travel daily to jobsites, homes, and other service locations to provide service for window and door products. Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform service adjustments and repairs on window and door products from vendor lines sold through Golden State Lumber. Communicate with customers, contractors, builders, homeowners, and branch employees to resolve service-related issues and help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Educate customers and jobsite contacts in real time regarding product service issues, repair needs, and next steps. Review daily service schedules and complete required service documentation, including technician reports and photo documentation. Complete pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment and report any issues in a timely manner. Maintain assigned service vehicle, truck stock, tools, equipment, and supplies needed to complete service work. Ensure job-site preparedness, including protecting the work area before service begins and completing post-job cleanup and assessment of any potential surrounding damage. Use smart devices, tools, and equipment needed to complete service work safely and effectively. Support training of new Service Technicians, Service Coordinators, or other team members as requested. Seek continuous improvement opportunities related to service processes. Perform additional duties and assignments as needed to support service operations and customer needs. Required Qualifications / Experience Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues and identify repair solutions. Experience in window and door repair or a related field. Ability to use power tools safely and effectively. Strong customer service and communication skills. Satisfactory driving record. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment. Team-oriented approach with a focus on supporting operational needs and customer satisfaction. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials and products weighing up to 100 pounds, with assistance as needed, and with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to perform the physical demands of a field service role, including but not limited to standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling Preferred Qualifications Experience servicing multiple window and door brands or product lines. Experience working in field service, construction, building materials, or a related service environment. Experience communicating directly with contractors, builders, homeowners, and other customers on service-related issues.
