In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining overhead garage doors and related hardware with precision and professionalism. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, customer expectations, and quality benchmarks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and skills, and contribute to the safety and functionality of residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities Install overhead garage doors, including hanging doors, securing tracks, and attaching hardware using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans Perform welding, metal stud framing, and fabrication tasks as needed for custom or specialized door setups Conduct maintenance repairs on existing garage doors, including replacing springs, cables, rollers, and other components Utilize locksmithing skills for lock installation or adjustments to ensure security features are properly integrated Execute electrical wiring or troubleshooting when electrical components or openers are involved Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation techniques to ensure finished work is weatherproofed and visually appealing Lift heavy materials safely during installation or repair processes while adhering to safety protocols Read schematics and mechanical drawings to guide installation procedures accurately Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris responsibly, and ensuring safety compliance at all times Experience Prior experience in construction site work or remodeling projects involving garage door installation or similar trades such as carpentry or metal framing Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical systems related to overhead doors Hands-on experience with glass installation or fixture setup is a plus but not required Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety standards and protocols Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during installations or repairs Previous handyman experience or skills in locksmithing are advantageous for versatile job performance Join us in delivering top-quality garage door solutions by applying your technical skills in a fast-paced environment where safety, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction are our priorities!
