Job Description
Job Summary We're looking for a hands-on Sign Shop Production Specialist to join our team. This isn't a desk job, you'll be the one making it happen on the production floor, from preflighting files all the way through final installation. If you know your way around a wide-format printer, can spot a color profile issue before it wastes a roll of media, and take pride in a clean vinyl install, you'll fit right in. Responsibilities Preflight and prepare customer files for print — checking resolution, color mode, bleed, and dimensions before anything hits the machine. Set up and RIP files for output on large-format inkjet printers; monitor print quality and manage media loading throughout production runs. Operate vinyl cutters (Mimaki and similar) for contour cutting, lettering, and shape work; weed, tape, and prep graphics for application. Laminate and mount finished prints using roll laminators and cold/heat mounting equipment to foam board, Sintra, Dibond, and other substrates. Apply wraps, decals, and lettering to vehicles, windows, walls, floors, and other surfaces with clean, bubble-free results. Keep the production floor organized, manage job queues to meet deadlines, and communicate clearly when something needs attention. Handle general shop tasks and jump in wherever the job requires — this is a small team and everyone pulls their weight. What We're Looking For Hands-on experience in a sign shop, print production, or wide-format graphics environment. Comfortable with Adobe Illustrator and/or CorelDRAW for basic file prep and editing. Familiarity with RIP software and wide-format printer operation is a strong plus. Detail-oriented with a low tolerance for quality issues — you catch the things others miss. Physically able to handle large substrates and be on your feet throughout the day. Reliable, communicative, and able to keep multiple jobs moving without losing track. Experience with vehicle wraps, exterior signage, or installation hardware is a bonus.
