Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This role supports the company's operational goals by ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently through both scheduled and emergency maintenance. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on automated production equipment such as conveyors, robotic arms, and pneumatic systems. Maintain facility systems, including compressors, chillers, dust collectors, and lighting. Conduct mechanical repairs on gearboxes, chains, pulleys, and pneumatic components. Diagnose and repair electrical systems including sensors, motors, and VFDs. Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical diagrams, and work orders. Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment. Report issues and unusual conditions to supervisors. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Log daily activities using company software. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Strong electrical troubleshooting experience, including diagnosing and repairing AC/DC systems, high and low voltage circuits, and components like sensors, motors, and VFDs. Experience reading wiring diagrams and electrical schematics. Hands-on experience with mechanical and pneumatic systems such as gearboxes, chains, pulleys, pneumatic cylinders, and piping. Familiarity with facility systems such as compressors, chillers, and dust collectors. Technical proficiency with tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and electric meters. Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience in a production or industrial setting. Understanding of automation and robotics systems, welding, AC/DC motors, and HVAC. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong experience working with hand tools, power tools, and electric meters. Minimum 4 years of experience working as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role offers two openings with shifts on the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) and 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) from Sunday to Thursday. Training will occur on the 1st shift for 1-2 months, depending on proficiency (1st shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday). Candidates must be clean-shaven due to respirator requirements in certain areas. The work occurs in a manufacturing facility spread across two adjacent buildings. Expect a paint-like odor due to the materials used in glove manufacturing. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
