Hotel Maintenance Technician

Choice Hotels Comfort Inn Santa Monica is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep our hotel running smoothly! The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of routine maintenance and repair tasks in order to keep the hotel in compliance with the company's golden standard of functionality, cleanliness, safety, and security.

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintains and improves the basic upkeep of all rooms and common areas by ensuring all furniture, appliances, and electrical equipment such as televisions, refrigerators, and light fixtures are in working order. Maintains and improves the basic upkeep of all in-room plumbing (shower heads, water pressure, toilets, etc). Ensures all paint and flooring meet company standards. Maintains, repairs or replaces HVAC systems such as individual air conditioning units. Clean and maintain the hotel's exterior spaces such as the parking lot, swimming pool, landscaping, etc. Appropriately address guest requests to ensure customers are satisfied with the hotel's services and accommodations. Offer hotel staff assistance whenever possible. Ensures systems and procedures are in place and followed for guest safety and security.

Education/Experience:

1+ years of general maintenance experience is required. 1+ years of hotel maintenance experience is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for teamwork collaboration.

Requirements:

Possess a willingness to learn on the job. Must have working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, and other general repair skills. Ability to efficiently work under time constraints. Possess good organizational and prioritization skills. Able to work independently and with others. Must be able to push, pull, lift and carry 50+ pounds. You might be required to walk, bend, climb, kneel, and extend reach to complete assigned tasks. Able to work a flexible schedule.
