Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The maintenance technician is responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance of our residential community, ensuring all tasks are completed with professionalism, timeliness, and high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong technical skills and a commitment to resident satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Respond daily to service requests and document work performed. Maintain positive relationships with residents, coworkers, and vendors. Follow all safety protocols and report incidents promptly. Repair and maintain appliances, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC. Perform carpentry, painting, and general refurbishing of apartments (as needed) Assist with custodial and groundskeeping tasks. Prepare vacant/ move out units with maintenance repair using checklist, scheduling vendors and conducting final walk throughs to confirm make-ready units. Participate in emergency on-call rotation. Document preventative maintenance and inventory usage. Support online reputation management efforts. Utilize precision measuring tools to ensure accurate repairs and installations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED Proven experience in maintenance or similar position Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general residential property maintenance HVAC, plumbing, or electrical certifications Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, operating and maintenance instructions. Computer skills and mobile devices Must be able to work weekends. Physical Requirements Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, and repetitive motion. Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, carry, grasp, reach, crouch, bend, kneel, lift a minimum of 35 lbs., sit, talk and hear.
