By lunch, you've brought a down machine back online after a crisp root-cause analysis. Before you head out, you standardize a preventive maintenance checklist so the whole team can move faster tomorrow. That's a day in the life at Hadrian—where we're reimagining American manufacturing for rockets, satellites, jets, and ships. We've secured a $260M Series C to scale autonomous factories that deliver critical aerospace and defense hardware up to 10x faster and 2x more affordable.
Mesa is just the start:
we're also standing up a new HQ for thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to power naval production, and rolling out a Factory-as-a-Service model that ships complete systems, not just parts. The Role As our CNC & Robotics Maintenance and Commissioning Technician, you'll own uptime and reliability for a defined area of the factory. You'll deploy quickly to installs and commissioning events, diagnose complex faults across mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces, and keep our full-stack facility systems (power distribution, compressed air, vacuum, HVAC, process cooling, and more) humming. What you'll take on Return CNCs and robotic cells to service fast—performing corrective and scheduled maintenance in line with OEM standards. Coordinate directly with machine builders and vendors to accelerate issue resolution. Pinpoint root causes across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software layers; implement countermeasures to prevent repeat failures. Work a proactive ticket queue to reduce downtime and backlog. Author and standardize procedures so any technician can execute repeatably—no tribal knowledge required. Log PMs, repairs, and parts usage with disciplined documentation. What you bring Hands-on maintenance experience with CNC equipment and industrial robots. Fast learner who blends self-teaching with external training resources. Solid grasp of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in advanced manufacturing. Clear communicator who can coordinate vendors and collaborate cross-functionally; willing to support off-shifts or on-call during critical installs. Stellar extras Proven track record commissioning CNCs, robots, and automation in live production.Broad facilities toolbox:
high/low voltage, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC; fluent reading schematics. Troubleshooting chops across drives, servos, PLC-adjacent I/O, sensors, VFDs, coolant and chip systems. CMMS literacy for work orders, parts planning, and PM strategy; habitually precise documentation.Compensation Target pay:
$30-$40 per hour (actual pay may vary with experience). This range reflects what we believe, in good faith, we would pay for this role at posting time. Final compensation may be higher or lower and could change in the future. Your position in the range depends on factors like education, certifications, years of experience, skills, location, performance, and evolving business needs.
