PolyPeptide is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to support the reliability and performance of our production equipment and facility systems in a GMP-regulated environment. This is a hands-on role for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and keeping operations running safely and efficiently. Position Summary The Maintenance Mechanic II performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and facility systems across the site. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting production, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. What You'll Do Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment such as pumps, compressors, vacuum systems, reactors, and HVAC units Troubleshoot and repair equipment using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools Maintain accurate cGMP documentation, PM records, and equipment logs Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize work to support production uptime Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs as needed Assist with equipment installations and facility upgrades Follow all safety protocols (LOTO, PPE, chemical handling) Provide input on equipment performance and reliability improvements What You Bring High school diploma or GED (technical certification or associate degree preferred) 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or GMP environment Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, and HVAC Basic experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints What Sets You Apart Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and compliance Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in cleanroom and regulated environments Familiarity with PLC systems or automation controls (a plus) Why Join PolyPeptide Work in a high-impact role supporting GMP manufacturing operations Be part of a collaborative and safety-focused team Gain exposure to advanced production equipment and systems Opportunity to grow within a global organization If you are a skilled mechanic looking to apply your expertise in a regulated, fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.
