We manage a portfolio of 400+ homes and pride ourselves on high standards, quick response, and taking great care of our owners and guests. We are a fast-paced, professional, and supportive team looking for dependable people who take real ownership of their work. Position Overview We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Property Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team. This is the person we count on to go to any home, look at any problem, and figure out the most efficient way to fix it. You will respond to maintenance and repair needs across our 400+ managed properties, diagnose issues, and decide the best path forward. The ideal candidate is capable across multiple trades, organized, self-sufficient, and confident making the call on the spot. Key Responsibilities Respond to maintenance and repair needs across our portfolio of 400+ vacation rental homes, often on short notice Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of issues, including unfamiliar or obscure problems, and build a clear plan to resolve them Complete hands-on repairs across multiple trades, including drywall and paint matching, tile and grout, carpentry and furniture repair, plumbing, basic electrical, appliance troubleshooting, hardware, and hot tub and spa components Make sound cost decisions on repair versus replace, and on whether a job is better handled in-house or outsourced to a vendor Source parts and materials, and schedule and coordinate specialty vendors when outside help is the right move Communicate directly with homeowners, meet them on-site when needed, and provide clear repair estimates Document labor, materials, and photos accurately What We're Looking For Broad, hands-on skill across several trades, and the confidence to take on problems outside your comfort zone Strong diagnostic instincts and a figure-it-out mindset Good judgment on when to fix in-house and when a vendor makes more sense for the cost and outcome Self-directed and reliable, comfortable managing a full day on your own across multiple properties A clear communicator with owners, guests, and the team as a whole Requirements Several years of hands-on maintenance, repair, or skilled trade experience Comfortable working independently across a wide service area Valid driver's license and clean driving record Able to lift heavy objects, work on ladders, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in winter conditions, including snow Organized and consistent with documentation, including time, materials, and photos Preferred Licensed or experienced in a specific trade such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry Background in vacation rental, property management, hospitality, or construction Knowledge of the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee area Why Join Us If you take pride in your work, like variety, and want the freedom to solve problems your own way while being part of a supportive team, Tahoe Getaways is a great place to land.
