Full Job Description Shift:
Will be either 2:30PM•11:00PM or 10:30PM•7

Friday and Saturday or Sunday and Monday General Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and repair services in multiple crafts. This position may operate utilities equipment which supplies electricity, steam, heat, refrigeration, air conditioning, compressed air or ventilation. The main purpose of this role to support production department to ensure the equipment is operating at desire capacity and producing quality a product.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Locate, diagnose and repair any problem causing equipment downtime or unsatisfactory equipment performance Perform work with minimum downtime and interference with operations concern Perform both unscheduled and scheduled work as well as preventative/predictive maintenance on equipment to help achieve a goal of zero downtime and one hundred percent efficiency Work with the SAP system to develop and maintain accurate parts inventory levels Complete changeovers and overhauls on all packaging machinery Make repairs and adjustments to conveyor tracks, gear boxes and motors Operate, monitor and troubleshoot various systems throughout the plant i.e.: water, steam, air and water cooling systems and associated pumps and valves Correct GMP discrepancies Interact with contractors, plant personnel and maintenance supervision Assist in other maintenance areas as directed or needed Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required Pay Competitive pay•$30.00 to $36.00 per hour based on experience Rate includes $1.00 shift differential for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM Paid Overtime

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required 2 years in a food processing or manufacturing environment Basic Electrical skills Basic knowledge of welding, metal fabrication and plumbing Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be able to pass the skills test TIG, Sanitary stainless steel pipe (purge welding) Must be able to understand and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and machinery Ammonia refrigeration knowledge Must have own basic tools Must be flexible to work any shift and / or days of the week Must be able to stand and be on feet for up to 12 hours Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs Ability to use simple math, adding, subtracting, multiplication and division Ability to take measurements Ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment without supervision Ability to read and follow instructions Must be able to read, write and speak
