We are looking for a Service Technician II to join our team. Position :
The Service Technician 2 is a Mid-level position for individuals with hands-on experience and technical proficiency. A technician works independently on routine tasks and assists with more complex projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues independently to identify and resolve complex problems. Execute major and minor repairs on all machinery and equipment, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Operate and calibrate specialized machinery and tools to enhance equipment performance. Train and mentor apprentices and Service Tech Tier 1 employees on basic maintenance tasks and safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and repairs performed. Safely move and handle large equipment using heavy machinery. Travel to customer sites or other company locations to perform repairs and maintenance as needed. Utilize and maintain proper care of tools and equipment. Commercial Driving License (Class A or B) required for transportation of equipment and tools. Obtain or hold certifications for Crane Operation and Welding and demonstrate proficiency in both. Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in the field. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
2-5 years of experience in a related field Extensive knowledge of machinery, electrical systems, and their components, including advanced troubleshooting and repair skills. Demonstrated experience with belt, chain, and direct-driven machinery, as well as advanced handling of chain, belt, and screw conveying systems and machinery. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams. Advanced verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and mentoring apprentices. Proficient in using measuring tools (e.g., tape measure, dial indicators, micrometers, feeler gauges) with high accuracy for repairs and calibrations. Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required for transporting equipment. Welding Certificate and Crane Certification (preferred) Advanced manufacturing math skills, including trigonometry and measurements involving complex calculations. Demonstrated ability to train and supervise junior technicians or apprentices. Ability to climb, work at heights, and operate man-lifts with confidence and safety awareness. Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including overnight stays. Experience with specialized tools and equipment, including advanced calibration tools and diagnostic software. Familiarity with commercial driving and load transportation regulations. Must pass pre-employment testing, including M.A.T. testing & Fabricator Tool Test, as well as any additional assessments for advanced roles.

Environmental Conditions:
Indoor/outdoor, typical manufacturing environment 100% of the time. The noise level in this environment is moderate to high. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment. and is exposed to fumes and airborne particles and will be in wet and humid conditions occasionally. Perform duties as assigned while following safety requirements, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle or free objects. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds often throughout the shift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Capable of working in varied environments, including dirt, grease, noise, and temperature fluctuations. Comfortable working from ladders, man-lifts, and confined spaces as needed. A 40-hour work week will be considered normal. Extra hours, working non-scheduled hours and extra workdays may be needed to accommodate changing production schedules, new projects, product development, and other special situations.
Compensation:
$25-33/hr, pay is based on experience.
