Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our food manufacturing facilities and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing facility improvement projects across a variety of systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced setting that values quality workmanship and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Maintain the high standard of quality products being produced and follow company policies, good manufacturing practices, and standard operating procedures Ensure compliance with federal/state requirements, HACCP programs, BRCGS standards, etc. Participate in all maintenance activities, including PMs, reactive maintenance, assisting with contractor and facility improvement projects. Responsible for completing maintenance work in cooperation with production supervisors and operation managers to ensure minimal downtime Perform reactive repairs when required and preventative maintenance according to schedule while following the site's BRCGS food safety program All work performed and completed may require skills such as electrical, refrigeration, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum, plumbing, fabricating, and other areas needed. Responsible for troubleshooting machinery to minimize downtime and act with a strong sense of urgency to on-the-floor calls and emergency. Operate the following machinery and equipment in compliance with
OSHA, GMPs and SOPs:
Hand tools, power tools, welding/cutting equipment, compressed air, boom lift, scissor lift, ammonia Ensure that all required documentation is completed correctly and on time. This may include daily time sheets, pre-operation forms, PM logs, temperature recording, equipment monitoring, work orders, etc. Responsible for keeping a tidy, clean and safe work area in the maintenance shop, and after working on the production floor. Must practice good communication skills with team members, production and management team members Perform other duties as required Skills 3+ years of proven experience in food safety manufacuting equipment repair and service technician roles with a strong mechanical aptitude Experience working with a food manufacturing site that is BRCGS-certified is a plus Ability to diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and perform precise equipment repair Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Must be able to work with minimal supervision Excellent verbal and communication skills Must be able to read and comprehend English instructions and directions. Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus Have excellent work and attendance record, attend all meetings as required Must be able to stand during the entire shift Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be prepared to work extra overtime hours if needed Join us if you're passionate about maintaining high standards of operational excellence! Pay:
$24.00 - $32.00 per hour
