This position supports daily facility operations by performing routine maintenance tasks, completing timely repairs, and responding to maintenance requests with professionalism and care. The Technician I helps ensure facilities remain visually appealing, safe, and operational through hands-on general maintenance work such as painting, patching, minor repairs, and overall upkeep. This role is focused on executing assigned tasks in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements, while providing reliable support to internal clients. By addressing day-to-day maintenance needs and escalating more complex issues as needed, the Facilities Technician I contributes to creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for employees, customers, and partners. Essential Functions Facility Maintenance (60%) Perform preventive maintenance and routine facility repairs to support overall building operations and reduce downtime. Identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues; escalate complex repairs to senior technicians or external vendors as needed. Complete general maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, patching, caulking, minor carpentry, and fixture replacement. Conduct basic electrical and plumbing repairs (e.g., outlets, switches, lighting, faucets) within scope of role. Execute facility inspections and walkthroughs to proactively identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and compliance gaps. Support upkeep of building systems, infrastructure, and equipment to maintain operational efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment aligned with OSHA and company safety standards. Client Support & Project Work (30%) Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner. Assist with small facility improvement projects, renovations, and installations (e.g., office updates, fixture installs, repairs). Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate maintenance work and minimize operational disruptions. Support execution of planned maintenance projects and facility upgrades. Provide excellent internal customer service while maintaining professional communication and accountability. Safety, Compliance, & Documentation (10%) Follow all safety protocols, SOPs, and regulatory compliance requirements related to facility operations. Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance logs, inspections, and repairs (experience with CMMS systems is a plus). Participate in safety training, compliance programs, and audit preparation. Promote a safety-first culture by identifying and reporting hazards proactively Please note that the percentage allocations are a general estimate and may vary based on business needs and priorities. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or coursework in facilities maintenance, construction trades, or a related field preferred. 1-3+ years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a similar role. Demonstrated ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall patching, minor carpentry, and general facility upkeep. Working knowledge of light electrical and plumbing tasks within scope, such as replacing fixtures, outlets, switches, faucets, and light components. Experience responding to and completing work orders in a timely and organized manner, with the ability to follow written instructions and documented procedures. Familiarity with following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and compliance requirements in a structured work environment. Ability to identify issues that exceed basic maintenance scope and appropriately escalate to senior technicians, supervisors, or external vendors. A clean Motor Vehicle Record is required to operate company vehicles and maintain safety standards. Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel) Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in Colorado. Work may include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and use of maintenance tools and equipment. Exposure to a warehouse/storage environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
