Apartment Maintenance Technician

Delwest Management is hiring a Maintenance Technician for one of our affordable housing multi-family apartment communities in Commerce City. You will work in a newly developed community that holds more than 500 newly constructed units, scattered throughout the site. The right candidate for the job will have superior technical skills with some knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, work order completion and unit turn-over expertise. Basic computer skills are helpful. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Inspect facilities to troubleshoot potential problems. Ability to complete preventative maintenance schedules and property inspections under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor. Assist supervisor in the oversight of outside vendors during installations, repairs or maintenance. Monitor inventory of materials and equipment. Work order status updates in property management software. Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations. Verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Customer service skills and professionalism are a necessary part of this position.

Required Skills:

Strong technical knowledge of appliance diagnostics and repair, unit turnover and work order management in property management software. Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations. EPA certified or the ability to be certified within 90 days of employment. Must have reliable transportation with a valid Colorado Driver's License. Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening. Applicants must have 2 years of previous/verifiable experience as a Maintenance professional in multi-family housing projects. Helpful to have own small tools for small projects.
