Job Description

Job Overview The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of landscape and construction equipment, as well as company trucks. The ideal candidate has strong small engine experience and working knowledge of diesel equipment, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with operations staff. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair small engine equipment including 2-cycle trimmers, blowers, and other handheld tools Maintain and repair zero turn lawn mowers and related turf equipment Perform basic to intermediate diagnostics and repairs on diesel skid steers Service and maintain company vehicles including unleaded and diesel trucks Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life Identify safety concerns and ensure all equipment meets operational standards Maintain organized maintenance records and communicate repair status with management Keep shop and work areas clean, safe, and organized Qualifications Proven experience with small engine repair, including 2-cycle equipment and zero turn mowers Experience working on diesel equipment such as skid steers and diesel trucks is strongly preferred General knowledge of automotive repairs for gas and diesel vehicles Reliable transportation to and from work Clean driving record Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish Diesel technician certifications or formal diesel training Previous experience working in landscape, construction, or fleet maintenance environments What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Steady, year-round work with a well-established company Supportive team environment with opportunities for growth Well-maintained fleet and equipment If you are a dependable mechanic who takes pride in quality work and keeping equipment running at peak performance, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Precision Landscape and Maintenance team.
